During the Annual Business Meeting on the last day of the Toastmasters International Convention in August, clubs vote to elect the international officers and directors to the 2015-2016 Board of Directors. Also on the ballot this year is Proposal A. See: Candidates & Proposal
All clubs (Presidents and Secretaries) received an e-mail containing proxy information, explaining how to give your vote to someone else if you are not attending the international convention.
They must log on to the Toastmasters International website to specify how the club will cast its 2 votes.
Clubs have three options:
- Send a delegate to the Annual Business Meeting
- Designate its district director (Marike Dijksterhuis) or next senior district officer in attendance (Dominique Carrasco) as it’s proxy holder
- Designate an active Toastmaster from another club as its proxy holder
To date 5% of our clubs assigned their proxies. I encourage all clubs to use their voice!
