About District 59
Toastmasters International is the world’s leading organization devoted to the
improvement and development of individual communication and leadership skills.
Toastmasters District 59 includes over 112 Clubs and 2800 Members across
five countries: Belgium, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, France, and Monaco.

Clubs
The countries of continental Western Europe are divided
into geographical groups of eight to twenty clubs, called Divisions.
The Division Director is the team leader for the Area Directors
within a given Division and reports to the District Director.
District 59 contains six Divisions:
Division A
Northern and Northwestern France
Division B
Belgium and Lille
Division C
Netherlands: Noord-Holland, Utrecht, Gelderland, Overijssel, Flevoland, Drenthe, Groningen en Friesland
Division D
Luxembourg, North East France, Paris
Division E
Netherlands: Zuid-holland, Noord-Brabant, Zeeland and Limburg
Division F
South France
A Division may include four or more Areas, which in turn consist of four to six Clubs each.
An Area Director oversees each Area, regularly visits each Area club,
and serves as the liaison between Club officers, the Division Director, and the District.
At the local level, 123 clubs hold regular meetings in major cities across the District.
