About District 59
Toastmasters International is the world’s leading organization devoted to the
improvement and development of individual communication and leadership skills.
Toastmasters District 59 consists of over 112 Clubs and around 2800 Members across
5 countries: Belgium, France, Luxembourg, Monaco and the Netherlands.

Then, throughout this beautiful region of continental Western Europe, each country
is divided into large geographic areas of 8 to 20 clubs called Divisions. The Division
Director is the team leader for the Area Directors within the division and reports
to the District Director.

A division can include four or more areas. Each area is further divided into groups of 4 to 6 clubs, known
as Areas. These areas are overseen by an Area Director, who visits the clubs and serves as a link between
the club officers, the Division Director, and the district. Finally, at the most local level, there are 112 clubs
spread across the district, holding regular meetings in most major cities.
