Call for Candidate Declarations for the District 59 Leaders 2022 – 2023

Dear fellow Toastmasters, is this YOUR opportunity to lead? 
Taking on a leadership role in Toastmasters allows you to develop and practice skills that will make you a great leader, in an environment where mistakes are learning opportunities and successes are celebrated. The experience is invaluable, both on a personal and on a career level.

Today we call for Toastmasters who want to move ahead in their leadership track, to apply for a role as a District Officer on the Core Team, or as Division Director or as Area Director before February 18st, 2022.

District Executive Committee (District ExCom)
For your District Executive Committee Team, District 59 is looking for a District Director, a Program Quality Director, a Club Growth Director, a Public Relations Manager, an Administration Manager and a Finance Manager.  For your Division, we are looking for a Division Director, and for each of the areas in your Division, an Area Director.

Apply for a role
To apply, please send the following documents to the Chair of the District Leadership Committee,  
Erik Hesselink and to the Co-Chair of the District Leadership Committee, Lucy Sennef at DLC@district59.org 

What happens next?
Once submitted, we shall acknowledge your application with further information on the interview process.
Campaigning
Please note that you may only begin campaigning for the position once you receive our confirmation that your application meets the eligibility criteria.
All campaigns must adhere to the guidelines in Protocol 9.0 of the Toastmasters International Governing Documents.
Immediate Past International Director Richard E. Peck has created a video to help District leader candidates demonstrate the Toastmasters core values for the upcoming campaign season. 
The tips will help candidates focus on their campaigns and avoid some common missteps.

Deadline
PLEASE NOTE THE DEADLINE FOR APPLICATIONS: February 18th,  2022.
Election
The election of District 59 officers for the 2022-2023 term will take place at the District Council Meeting on Saturday, May 8th, 2022.
